Since we have limited control of the installation of those products, we began installing the Sure Fit Shim receiver on all entry door systems produced back in 2003 as a way to help the installer improve quality at the jobsite. Performing warranty calls can be very time consuming and costly. In the past we have seen many poor installations that were due to the installer not using shims, which caused the door units to leak or not perform properly. Our goal for using Sure Fit Shims is to help the installer improve his accuracy of installing the door units. This will make the installers job easier, the homeowner happy with the doors, and create less warranty calls for our shop.
